"The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it."

- William James

I think about this concept often and try to act in ways that use my strengths to the world's advantage. I hope that my career is full of small animal medicine, entrepreneurship, and individual mentorship, but answering the question of "what do you want to do" has always been difficult for me.

On paper, my professional goals include

  • first of all, becoming a highly proficient small animal practitioner

  • later, owning a successful business that provides happy and fulfilling jobs to hardworking people and promotes the human-animal bond

  • serving as a mentor to pre-veterinary students, veterinary students and/or new graduates

  • developing my skills and interests in ultrasound, cytology, oncology, surgery, and leadership

I think the best way I can positively impact the world is through merging my passions for people, animals, and business in an entrepreneurial manner. I reflect on the afflictions of our industry and listen to podcasts, read books, follow blogs, and actively learn about companies that are changing the world in hopes that I will be able to use all of that knowledge to recognize ways to better the veterinary industry.
